Quick Description.
Whenever the bell rings one (or more) of the characters has a sudden realization that’s why the name is Sudden Realization Ding.
How to Play
Players improvise a scene. When ever the bell rings a player must have or experience a realization [or truth].
Often the player identify the realization. See the example below:
Example
Player A: Mom, I am so excited about my new job.
Player B: I am so proud of you Jennifer.
Player A: For the first time in my life, I feel like I am grown up.
‘Ding’
Player B: You ARE a grown up.
Either player can have the realization.
Notes
The bell can be rung by the emcee, another player or an audience member.
Players can let the realization(s) bring the narrative together or divert the narrative.
It is quite easy to make the sudden realization be negative.
The bell is being used here to dive for richer characters that are being changed.
