How to Play
To Play Spell Master , have the audience write made-up words on slips of paper.
The players line side-by-side on the stage and the host (or Emcee) reads one of the made up words submitted by the audience..
The players will spell the word, define it and use it in a sentence or poem….they will do this one word at a time.
Notes
This is very similar to a game called Spelling Bee and What is it yo?
Have the host resist the temptation to compare the spelling the players provide with the spelling the audience submitted. It is very tempting for the host to say, “wrong” after the players have spelled the made up word. They fun is watching the players struggle with the spelling and definition.
The Host can prompt the players. For example:
Host: I understand this word is popular in music lyrics…can you share one of the ways it’s being used?
or..
Host: Can you use the word in everyday conversation with me now?
Origin
Not sure where this came from….can you tell me?
