Origin
Based on the movie Slum Dog Millionaire [2008], this format is yet to be tested. It comes to us from the creative minds of improv players at the HAN Business School in Arnhem, in the Netherlands.
Our friend, and wonderfully wild woman, Michaela Hogenboom sent it to us.
How to Play
You need a host of the Millionaire show, a contestant, other players and some quiz cards. The quiz card contains a question and four possible answers. The cards can be created by audience members before the show.
The contestant is brought to the stage and a question is asked giving him/her four possible answers. At that point the players begin a flashback into the life of the contestant that leads to him/her knowing the right answer to the question. This question and answer pattern is repeated several times.
The format concludes with him/her winning the game and (perhaps) resolving the sub-plot that has emerged in the numerous flashbacks.
Note
If you try this game, and I hope you do, please send me a note so that we can all benefit from your experimentation.
Thanks. And thanks again to Michaela.
