How to Play
Players place lines from real Shakespeare plays on small pieces of paper and scatter them on the stage.
The players then play an open scene (no game) and occasionally pick up a piece of paper and read the line incorporating it into the scene.
Speak the speech, I pray you, as I pronounced it to you, trippingly on the tongue.
You don’t have to have them spread out on the floor (although it’s a fun visual.) You could have the players hold a packet of them in their hands and read them occasionally.
This game is similar to a game where audience members write lines of dialogue on slips of paper before a show and players must incorporate them into the scene.
Origin
This game comes to us from Tom Coates who attributes it to Carl Anderson. Carl was a part of BATS Improv in San Francisco in the early days.
