Quick explanation
Players tell the story behind a famous moment in history.
How to Play
The players ask for a specific moment in history. The players then improvise a scene that begins before the event and ends with the event or starts with the event and continues.
The idea is that everyone knows about the invention of the wheel, but let’s see what happened just before that discovery. Or… we all know about the Wright Brothers historic flight but let’s find how what happened just after that first flight.
Of course your group may choose to do both before and after.
Notes
This game name and concept is based on a radio show which started in the US during the Second World War. An American broadcaster named Paul Harvey told stories about famous people or famous events. The show was called The Rest of the Story. I hope you can find and listen to his broadcasts. He had a distinctive style and was a very good storyteller.
