How to play Let me think
Sometimes you need to think about what to say next don’t you? This two player game starts with each improviser choosing an audience volunteer.
Let me think…
From time to time the players come down stage and say, “let me think” followed by a pause. In the pause the audience member assigned to them speaks the character’s inner thoughts.
Example:
Player A: I’m glad you’re here, we need to talk, it’s important.
Player B: Let me think. (pause)
Audience member: This is about the money I’ve been taking from the company.
Player B: It’s about how well we’re doing as a company, right?
Notes
The audience volunteers may need to use microphones to be heard.
You can try it without specific volunteers, allowing anyone in the audience to speak the inner thoughts.
The format can be expanded to incorporate more than two improvisers.
It might be fun to have one person supply all the inner thoughts.
