How to Play
This is a paired game where one player will lead and the other player will follow physical movements.
Ask the players to get into pairs.
Ask them to determine which one will lead.
The leader begins a series of simple movements in a slow steady rhythm.
The follower repeats the movements one beat behind.
Example:
A: Right Hand out to the side.
B: No movement.
A: Left Foot off the floor
B: Right Hand out to the side.
A: Left hand over their head
B: Left Foot off the floor
After a short period switch who is leading.
Variations
Variation 1: Create a circle where everyone will follow the person to their right.
Variation 2: Everyone starts at the same time with their own movement. They continue by repeating the movement of the person on their right.
Notes
Beautifully simple activity to get the players attentive to each other.
Possible debrief: What did you notice? Did you make the movements easy for your partner? Challenging for your partner? Did you think about your partner at all?
