Quick Description
The title, Death in a Minute says it all. Players play a scene with a 60 second time limit in which a death must happen.
How to Play
To play “Death in a Minute” the group or team has 60 seconds to create a scene in which a character dies. It does not matter how quickly or slowly the death happens, as long as a death occurs in a minute. The death does not need to end the scene but it often does.
This can be used as a toss-up. Some groups insist you must play the full minute. Use your discretion, impulse or whim.
Notes
Sometimes it is fun to start as far away from death as possible. This will create a natural tension. The dramatic journey from far-away-from-death to death will be interesting.
Origin
In 1986 I started writing down games for our company in San Francisco. That list was influenced by Rebecca Stockley, Seattle Theatersports (now Unexpected Productions) and a cryptic list from Vancouver Theatersports.
