Situation
You are talking at a large meeting or a conference. You are on stage. People are sitting at tables watching. You want to engage them in asking questions or want a closing activity that involves everyone. What you need is an activity for a large meeting or keynote.
I’ve watched so many keynotes that have awkward interaction with the audience.
Activity:
Ask members of the audience to write a comment or question on a piece of paper, crumple it up and toss it up to the stage.
Instruction
Speaker: Take a piece of paper on the table and one of the pens (markers) and write a word or two that reflect what resonated with you. What will you take away from this talk?
Once you have written it…please crumple the paper up and toss it up to the stage.
[Alternatively: toss it around the room. When a crumpled piece of paper come to you…open it and read what it says and re-crumple it and toss it back into the room.]
If you use the stage
Yes…this could all be accomplished by asking them to tweet or use polling technology – but there may be something wonderfully kinestectic and joyful about throwing balls of paper around the room.
This could also be used for questions for the speaker. Or expectations at the beginning of the talk.
You could ask for Paper Airplanes but that requires more skill.

I can not remember where I first learned this. Thiagi? Have you heard of this before? Where did you learn it?
