How to play
To play the “185 Blanks” game the players line up along the back of the stage.
Players ask the audience for an occupation, object or animal.
One at a time the players step forward and fills in the blanks:
185 [blanks] walk into a bar. The bartender says, we don’t serve [blanks] here. The 185 [blanks] says [player supplies joke or pun here].
Alt version:
185 [blanks] walk into a bar. The bartender says, we don’t serve [blanks] here. The 185 [blanks] say ‘why not?’ and the Bartender says [player supplies line here].
The lines are puns or other clever twists of words or ideas.
Notes
If you play Theatersports™ (or another team format) this can be used as a toss up to determine which team will go first.
The host or MC can use a bell to accept the joke/pun or a buzzer to reject it.
This is a joke format. There is no improv scene here.
